Soju
Soju (소주) is a clear, distilled alcoholic beverage of Korea, traditionally made from wheat, but now often made from starches such as sweet potatoes and tapioca. It has a light, slightly sweet taste similar to vodka, and generally has an alcohol content of 16–25%.
Soju is often:
Drunk neat (shot)
Drunk chilled
Drunk with Korean food
Drunk in cocktails, such as Somaek – mixed with beer
There are also many flavored versions.
